Title: Regional Security Manager （Two-year Contract） - 70943
Manages the security function, including asset protection, asset recovery and investigation for a defined regional area (may cover multiple countries). Regional responsibilities will also include managing, developing and consulting on new security programs. May supervise a group of security professionals.
Provides leadership within the region on crisis events and major incidents affecting our business, developing effective regional response plans.
Handles major security issues such as bomb threats, labor disputes, criminal and ethical violations, workplace violence situations, kidnappings and crisis management situations.
Provides professional expertise in investigating major/complex security breaches which could result in substantial losses or significant business or political impact for the enterprise.
Maintains close liaison with law enforcement agencies and other government agencies.
Investigates compliance violations and events that may result in substantial losses or non-compliance with John Deere corporate guidelines and policies;
Prepares for civil court proceedings which may include conducting interviews, locating/examining evidence, taking depositions, providing testimony and strategizing litigation efforts.
Provides regional oversight and strategic direction to contract security providers as well as to John Deere units to ensure the proper safety/security of physical assets, proprietary information, employees and visitors.
Manage the security services contract in relation to operations at the John Deere units in North Asia;
Implements auditing standards for security, fire, and life safety on a regional level to coordinate with enterprise initiatives.
Develops and oversees regional personal protection assignments and services for special events such as Board of Director's Meetings, executive protection, product shows, visiting dignitaries, as well as other major events.
Provides assistance on emergency management preparedness and coordinates this effort with units and facilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
We are looking for a professional with good interpersonal relationships, logical reasoning, planning skills and conflict resolution. In addition, we also seek the following qualifications:
Ability to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese, good written and oral command of English.
The ability to be task focused and able to drive delivery of change. This will involve having the ability to step from strategic to tactical roles on a daily basis.
Able to influence senior leaders around security plans and actions, providing a measured, balanced and realistic approach to security.
Demonstrated understanding of threats, vulnerabilities and specific risks related to the effective control of infrastructure
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and asset protection protocols;
Knowledge of security systems and related technical information;
Knowledge of the best practices of executive protection;
Knowledge of the principles of emergency management;
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
7-10 years commercial risk management experience in a senior role within an in-house security function
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Knowledge of contracts security, KPIs and management of the area's budget
Experience with people management
Has a demonstrable extensive network of commercial security contacts within the region
Degree in a security discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (3 years or equivalent)
A formal qualification in Security Management desirable
