Function: Quality Engineering

Title: Quality Engineer-40053 - 40053

Your Position:

Your Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues found at all China partner vehicle factories for JDPS produced engines . 

  • Schedule and lead assembly process audits in test cell area. 

  • Responsible for ensuring audits take place per schedule and issues uncovered during the audits are documented and resolved with closed loop corrective action. 

  • Work with manufacturing engineering developing/maintaining PFMEA's for test cells processes and drive implementation of all reaction plans to high RPN's prior to SOP. 

  • Establish control limits for key test cell parameters and perform ongoing data analysis/reviews to ensure process control. 

  • Drive gap closure activities which align our processes with JDQPS guiding principles. 

  • Participate in quality improvement meetings to address top factory quality issues (NCCA reviews, Quality Council meetings, etc.) 

  • Provide analysis of quality data for continuous improvement project selection (Pareto analysis, COPQ info, CPE, $PE, etc.) 

  • Execute containment activities to quality issues which arise in assigned areas of responsibilities. 

  • Manage product/process deviations required for production while ensuring customer needs are met from a quality and delivery perspective. 

  • Mentor early career quality engineering staff ;

What Skill You Need:

  • Engine Background is a must * Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.

  • Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach otherse.

  • Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.

  • Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge. Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. - 1 - 3 years

  • Experiencein use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management. - 1 - 3 years;

What Make You Stand Out:

  • PDP Quality Engineering experience is preferred;


-Bachelor Degree in a Business/Management/Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience
