Your Job:

Demand continues to grow and we need to expand our Assembly team to ensure we supply quality forestry attachments. You have two opportunities to join this busy team; one on a permanent and ongoing basis and a second on a 6-month fixed term basis to assist the team with higher than expected production schedules. As an Assembler you’ll need to be self-driven, work well in a busy production environment and able to build realtionships in a close-knit team. You'll have to be mechanically minded as you’ll be looking after the fabrication of parts and sub-assemblies of Waratah products and related equipment, ensuring that top quality standards are met.

Although we have production targets to meet, your safety comes first, so you'll need to be proactive in your own safety as well as the team around you. As you’ll be the one that best knows, you’ll also get to actively participate in health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Flexible working hours may be required from time to time to align with production demand.

Your skills:

  • An experienced Fitter/Turner, Mechanic and/or an equivalent trade qualification is preferred

  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing of large/heavy industrial equipment

  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and across work areas

  • Self-driven and able to work unsupervised

  • Certified to Module 3800 Operate a radio remote or pendant controlled overhead crane and lift place regular loads and/or Operate a Lift Truck in accordance to WorkSafe NZ or equivalent is an advantage, however full training can be provided

  • Able to quickly problem solve to ensure production demands are met

  • Physically fit as some heavy lifting and constant movement is required.
