Title: Sr. StarFire Network Engineer - 51618
As a Senior StarFire Network Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Torrance, CA, you will engage with other StarFire Network and Deere teams to ensure delivery of StarFire correction service with 99.999% uptime target. In addition, you will:
Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues of StarFire Network (data centers, GNSS reference stations and satellite uplink stations)
Perform root cause analysis which includes detailed analysis to assist in the effective implementation and integration of StarFire Network infrastructure in support and alignment of business processes
Assess risks to provide solutions to stakeholders on the StarFire Network infrastructures
Serve as a technical resource for multi-functional project teams
Make complex changes to existing processes, with minimal supervision
Participate on projects as a team member or facilitate/lead group meetings or teams in applying technology to meet specific business needs, work on more difficult tasks, provide work direction and is a backup for other project leaders
Travel to data centers and satellite uplink stations for installation and upgrade (up to 25% including domestic and international)
Lead, enforce and create documented processes and procedures
Provide off-business hour support and participate in on-call rotation

What Skills You Need
Extensive familiarity with Cisco networking equipment (i.e. Routers, Switches, ASA, RIPv2, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
Ability to design and support of WAN technologies (i.e. MPLS, ISDN, VPN, net-2-net VPN tunnels, T1s, PRIs, DS3s, OC3s, Gig Fiber and Fiber LAN and WAN networks)
5 or more years of experience of network administration including design and implementation of network upgrades and changes
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Strong written and oral communication skills
What Makes You Stand Out
CCDP and/or CCNP Certification
Experience with monitoring tools (i.e. SolarWinds and/or Nagios)
Experience with Linux/Unix Operating System
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
