Title: Senior Software Engineer - 69512

You will make direct technical contributions to the development, maintenance and testing of global StarFire correction signals used in John Deere's GNSS receivers and related products and serve as the technical expert for a key area of John Deere's GNSS technology.
• Design and implement real time global differential correction signals and distribution software components• Work with Software Engineering teams and other Design Engineers in integrating and testing modifications and extensions to GNSS StarFire systems• Participate in code and design reviews• Teamwork and communication with cross disciplinary team members to quickly and effectively diagnose and solve system defects• Work effectively as part of development team with minimal supervision
What Skills You Need
• 3 or more years professional experience developing and implementing C/C++ commercial software and applications• 3 or more years experience with Linux and knowledge of multi-task or multi-threaded system semantics• Strong experience with Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS)• Strong analytical skills
What Makes You Stand Out
• Understand Global Differential Positioning System concepts• 1 or more years experience working with high precision technologies such as RTK, orbit and clock estimation, PPP or sensor fusion algorithms would be a plus• Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Geomatics, Physics, or Mathematics
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Geomatics, Physics, or Mathematics
