Title: Backend - Software Engineer

Primary Location: Mexico (MX)- Coahuila Motores JD-Torreon

Function: Technology (CA)

Main responsibilities

  • Works on Agile delivery team responsible for EDI product.

  • Designs, develops, and tests code required to deliver desired functionality

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and team members to ensure features meet business needs

  • Creates necessary documentation to facilitate long-term support of product

  • Develops work estimates to facilitate team planning processes

  • Follows Agile software delivery methodology

  • Performs delivery using current technologies and practices

What Skills You Need

  • 3 years of experience using the following technologies and frameworks: Java, Python.

  • 3 years of experience with relational databases: Oracle, MS SQL.

  • 2 years of experience building RESTful APIs.

  • 1 years of experience using front-end languages and frameworks: CSS, NodeJS, React.

  • 1 years of experience with CI/CD including: GIT, Azure DevOps.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux shell scripting.

  • Understanding of software engineering principles, database and infrastructure capabilities and constraints in the data- and web-based application environments.

  • Ability to analyze, define, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Analytical skills required to understand complex system interactions and understand impact of system changes on related processes.

What makes you stand out

  • Experience using any TDD technologies: JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, Puppeteer.

  • Experience integrating custom developments with Legacy systems.

  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure technologies: AWS, EC2, S3, Route53, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.


Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
