*This position is responsible for the creation of technical roadmaps, development standards, definition on the software architecture used in the shop floor (layers, units, and modules) in order to guarantee times and JD standards are met. It should be considered a technical problem solver.
*Other responsibilities include define test cases for owned applications and provide technical guidance on application development, technical topics and tool usage. This position typically will address project coding activities, resolving issues or shop floor applications, testing multiple applications and share knowledge with other IT developers.
*Evaluate new development tools and models.
*Decide on alternatives for coding and testing.
*The most complex issues or problems this position will face are: solving and urgent situations; apply new approved technologies and provide innovative solutions; understand and suggest updates to legacy applications that remain active or must be migrated to new technologies; provide input on new models and strategies for development and ensure adoption emergent technologies defined for by our Enterprise and Domain Architects; help on resolving performance and compatibility application issues on the shop floor. To perform these tasks will require some supervision and cooperation with other Technical leads.
*Finally, this position can provide suggestion or participate on discussions related to technical decisions on how enterprise global applications should work and which technologies fit best. (AMES, GFPT, JDTester, DeereMES, SFLEX, etc).
What Skills You Need:
*Medium to high software development and analysis skills
*Software architecture and testing frameworks knowledge and basic understanding of shop floor functionality and technologies.
*One year experience in software development including analysis, development and deployment.
What Makes You Stand Out:
*Knowledge of major applications owned by IT Mfg such as AMES, GFPT, JD Tester and others.
*Software Engineering, Cloud (WS, Azure etc.)
*Basic Knowledge for Agile Methodology.
Education (or equivalent experience):
*Software Development bachelor degree, Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
