Main Responsibilities

As a (UX Designer) for (John Deere) located in (Torreon, MX), you will partner with software engineers and product managers to design and deliver innovative and intuitive digital experiences for our global dealer, customer, and employee users. In addition, you will:

  • Deliver wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design recommendations.

  • Interpret and translate quantitative and qualitative insights into high quality visual experiences.

  • Partner with other UX professionals to validate and test designs with users through usability testing methods.

  • Partner with the IT UX Design Ops team to leverage and contribute to the Fuel Design System.

Works on a product team alongside other software engineers and software analysts to support basic product design by writing and testing code to deliver simple to complex functionality on a defined portion of the product it supports. This is an entry level role that is designed to learn, grow in competence, and develop the most basic capability needed to operate effectively in this role. Work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation; Applies existing applications to routine problems.

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of demonstrated experience in UI and UX design.

  • Proficient with Figma or other equivalent design and rapid-prototyping tools.

  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes.

  • Communication and presentation skills, including the ability to lead design discussions.

  • A portfolio highlighting your design process and experience.

  • Experience incorporating branding and common design system components and guidelines into product experiences.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience leveraging or contributing to a Design system.

  • Continuous UX learning and certifications.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies.

  • Ability to influence without authority and working with a variety of individuals.

  • Writing concise content, design guidelines, and standards.

  • Experience with capturing analytics and identifying insights.

  • Experience with accessibility design and guidelines.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.

Education

BS/BA Required (Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Usability, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Industrial Design, Marketing, Human Factors)
