Main responsibilities

Plans, coordinates, and performs tester engineering work for a transfer, project or process. This work includes change management and equipment maintenance administration. Operates in a team environment within either the product delivery process or the order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of complex scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers. Includes active participation in continuous improvement program as member of a business improvement team (BIT). Additionally, this position has the role of subject matter expert for test equipment architecture.

What skills you need

  • Analyzes and makes modifications/improvements to existing test equipment inventory and tester vector strategy.

  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation and quality plans for revisions to current tester operations for existent and/or new parts or programs.

  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for current tester operations – according to escalation path. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.

  • Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing. Writes operation instructions – for technicians staff.

  • Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas.

  • Leads team studies related to yield, downtime, capacity and energy.

  • Leads analysis, development and implementation of new test manufacturing processes and technology.

  • Maintenance and special projects budget administration (fixed assets and expenses).

  • Deep comprehensive electrical/mechanical/pneumatic schematics diagrams.

  • Applies statistical tools across a broad range of data applications to identify improvement performance paths.

What makes you stand out

  • Background in Engineering (mechatronics or electronics).

  • LabView programming expert by developing user interface apps – including vision system feature

  • Understands the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP).

  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing test equipment, total preventative maintenance and facilities.

  • Working knowledge of database management tools and process management systems.

  • Experience as technician supervisor.

  • Familiar to cross functional work interaction (collaborate and get support from other engineering areas).

  • Familiar with Six Sigma tool kit (DMAIC).

  • Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.


Bachelor´s degree related to mechatronics/electronics
