Your Responsibilities

As a Data Curator for John Deere located in Urbandale, IA, you will…

  • Drive data/annotation quality control discussion, sampling, debugging, and reporting

  • Assist data manager & data engineer to coordinate data collection, ingestion, labeling activities to ensure smooth data flows

  • Provide closed loop feedback to stakeholders on data quality/timeline risks & mitigations

  • Document new processes and best practices to drive commonality and reuse

What Skills You Need

  • Robust cross-function communication skills

  • Competency of influencing without authority to achieve project timelines

  • Ability to dive in data issues and trace root causes both collaboratively and independently

  • Experience with Python scripting in image/csv/json/data frame manipulations

  • Excellent presentation skills to illustrate issues and solutions in engineering language

  • Comfortable working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, across multiple time zones

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Understanding of computer vision and machine learning

  • Programming experience with various Python SDKs/libraries: AWS boto3, Pandas, csv, json, cv2

  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development methodologies


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, or related
