As a Front-End Software Developer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) ( , you will work on the John Deere Operations Center ( product to help users set up, Plan, Monitor, and Analyze their farm data. We operate in a collaborative and open environment using the latest in web and cloud technologies as we build the future of precision agriculture ( .

Your Responsibilities

  • Developing and supporting high-quality John Deere agronomic ( web applications using React

  • Engaging in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, and support of software applications

  • Engaging in Agile software development activities including team sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives

  • Collaborating with Product Managers, UX designers, and other supporting teams to define product requirements and system design

  • Supporting a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including Test Automation and Continuous Integration

  • Interfacing regularly with customers to ensure technical solutions are meeting their needs

What Skills You Need

  • 2+ years of combined experience with Javascript, React.js, or Node.js, and with building web-client or server-side applications/services

  • 2+ years of experience working with Agile software development practices and Test Driven Development (TDD) or Acceptance Test-Driven Development

  • 2+ years of proven experience in roles that required strong interpersonal, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with multiple programming languages frameworks such as Redux, MobX, Java, Spring, and SQL/NoSQL

  • Previous hands-on work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Terraform

  • Knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP) Practices, such as Acceptance Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, Jenkins, or Drone

  • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful web services


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS, or other IT related discipline
