Overview & Responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Remote) on the Automation & Autonomy Solutions team within our Intelligent Solution Group (ISG) , you will take on the role of technical lead for developing embedded solutions that interface with our state-of-the-art robotic vehicle systems, which use perceptual sensing and cameras for machine learning and image processing.
Your effortswill help s hape the future of precision agriculture and will en able farmers all over the world to become more productive and achieve their aspirationsthrough using our cutting-edge agriculture technology.
You will also:
Collaborate with other Deere engineering teams to commercialize perception solutions platforms for our robotic vehicle system products
Accelerate application opportunities that require a mix of image processing and machine learning
Focus on leading CVML and C++ software development for machine learning applications
Champion the integration of advanced algorithms into the application software that runs on embedded hardware
What Skills You Need
4+ years of product development experience utilizing C++ and other Object-Oriented languages
Ability to drive, lead, participate, define, and strategize about the future of our autonomy initiatives
Robust knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience working on projects involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision
Expertise in developing Linux software applications and familiarity with multi-threaded systems
Deep knowledge of Image processing via OpenCV, MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox Applications, Machine Learning, Caffe, or TensorFlow
Strong programming skills with Embedded C and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Professional exposure to UDP, TCP/IP, and CAN networking communication protocols
Specialization in SCRUM and Agile software development methodologies
Hands-on Test-Driven Development (TDD) and software test automation experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in anEngineering, Science, or Technology-related discipline, OR equivalent related work experience
