Title: Senior Systems Engineer - 57602
As a Senior Systems Engineer, for the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG-location), you will lead system design activities for a team that designs and develops high quality telematics device software for high-tech precision agriculture, construction, and forestry products. In addition, you will:
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify and capture stakeholder and system requirements that are essential for defining and managing the behavior, scope, context, and complexity of the system
Operate utilizing an Agile software development methodology while developing critical subject matter expertise to provide leadership and direction to a scrum team
Lead and participate in the team planning process of new products and/or major improvements to existing products in a way that proactively identifies integration opportunities with existing tools and process, as well as, emerging technologies and trends
Analyze field data and customer feedback to understand and quantify performance/quality gaps and drive them to closure by prioritizing new feature work against continuous improvement work and defects based on inﬂuence from the various stakeholders
Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to teams located in India that contribute to and provide solutions that utilize the telematics device software
Deliver system engineering deliverables such as FMEA's, requirement documents, ECM's, update of VNSM database, etc. as required
Provide engineering direction concerning the integration of electronic sub-systems into John Deere machines and other OEM equipment

What Skills You Need
5 or more years of Product Engineering experience
2 or more years of demonstrated technical leadership capability
Experience in roles that required demonstration of excellent communication, organizational, analytical problem-solving and teamwork skills
An ability to collaborate successfully with engineers of other disciplines and work effectively with other functional groups
Attention to detail, ability to work quickly, work in a self-directed mode and ability to adapt easily in a dynamic, diverse, collaborative team environment
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestic and internationally
What Makes You Stand Out
A strong understanding of systems engineering principles
Advanced degree in engineering or a certificate in systems engineering and/or experience with any of the following: Agile software development practices, agriculture or construction vehicles
Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and telematics
Experience with vehicle electrical systems, GPS based guidance systems, CAN networks, Ethernet, telematics and/or in-field communications systems
Experience with precision agriculture applications
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, System, Agriculture), Science or Technology related discipline
