Title: Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineer - 42700

Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineer at John Deere Seeding in Valley City, ND you will provide leadership in methods and labor standards for both continuous improvement on current production and new product programs. In addition, you will:

  • Be the subject matter expert on John Deere industrial engineering standards and processes

  • Monitor and facilitate needed onsite industrial engineering training

  • Assign, coordinate and review for compliance to IE standards work in manufacturing engineering

  • Lead and audit Current Method of Manufacture (CMM) events and maintenance

  • Lead broad and diverse industrial engineering projects to understand and improve capacity, productivity, manpower planning, and incentive pay systems

  • Support and improve incentive program development and infrastructure

  • Leverage enterprise information to define and lead development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology

  • Lead, analyze and support modifications to improve performance pay plans

  • Ensure that simulation tools are in place and align with the facility business needs

  • Support and help facilitate factory master planning (FMP) as a process

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of Industrial Engineering experience

  • Experience with the process of industrial engineering practices, systems, and tools

  • Experience championing and improving overall product flow and line design within the factory, working through and directing projects from start to finish

  • Experience with the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)

  • Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts and tools to eliminate waste

  • Experience with design and balancing of mixed model lines

  • Project management skills including planning, scheduling, resource estimating, budgeting and implementation

  • Work experience in a team environment requiring influencing without authority and the ability to teach others

  • Experience with, incentive pay systems and work measurement

  • Experience working effectively within a team environment and among different levels of the organization

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality

  • Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases

  • Experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools

  • Experience in simulation of manufacturing systems and processes

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Agricultural, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
