This position is eligible for a flexible or telework work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
As a Production Planner for John Deere Seeding Valley City located in Valley City, ND you will ensure the production plan for all demand streams does not exceed critical work center capacity. In addition, you will:
Create, maintain, and publish rolling 18-month production and material plan for all demand streams.
Coordinate or execute rough-cut capacity planning to validate production plan for all demand
Develop daily schedule and sequenced lineup for whole goods
Resolve material requirements planning exception messages for upper-level bill of material assemblies, e.g., base machine and factory tops
Ensure all factory demand requirements are accurately reflected in the production planning systems
Collaborate with order fulfillment to facilitate and/or coordinate the sales and operation planning (S&OP) process for home factory and participate in inter-factory customer S&OP process and meetings
Coordinate resource capacity and manpower planning with manufacturing engineering and operations functions

What Skills You Need
4 or more years of experience in manufacturing and/or operations experience
3 or more years of experience in roles that required demonstration of effective communication skills (written and verbal)
2 or more years of experience with SAP
1 or more years of experience with Order Fulfillment
Ability and willingness to travel domestically, up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
1 or more years of experience working in one or more operations support functions such as supply management, warehousing, logistics, forecasting, or scheduling
1 or more years of experience with production control systems, preferably within John Deere
1 or more years of experience in roles that required an advanced proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, PowerBI) and Tableau
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management, Education, Business, Management, Engineering, Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Marketing
