Your Responsibilities

As a Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor for Valley City Seeding located in Valley City, ND , you will Manage the day-to-day warehousing operations and staff, ensuring that parts are delivered to both internal and external customers in a timely manner.

  • Manage the day-to-day warehousing operations and staff, ensuring that parts are delivered to both internal and external customers in a timely manner.

  • Manage the day-to-day shipping, receiving, and material flow functions and staff.

  • Select inbound freight companies based on delivery rates, damage claims, and overall cost.

  • Develop and maintain work instructions for receiving clerks, crating, shipping clerks, material movers, and warehouse operations.

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • 3 or more years using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.

  • 3 or more years using company information systems and processes - SAP, Power BI, Ignition, and SharePoint.

  • 3 or more years with working knowledge of logistics processes and applicable governmental regulations.

  • 3 or more years motivating individuals toward higher levels of performance that are aligned with the organization’s vision and values.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Working knowledge of SAP in an operations environment.

  • Supervisory experience, which includes placement, work direction, coaching, and performance management.

  • Logistics work experience in such areas as warehousing, materials management, transportation.

  • Experience in areas such as export documentation, government regulations, freight forwarding and brokerage.

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Degree in a Business/Management or Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
