Your Responsiilities
As an Application Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) Waterloo, IA, You
Plan, coordinate, and manage SW Module integration to ensure key functions of tractors are constantly and consistently working through start of production.
First person of contact for factory/test sites and actively support builds or factory integration tests. Ensure stable payloads and support teams with actual SW integration
Responsible for the complete SW package integration, coordinate early testing of infrastructural and subsystem basic functions in SIL and Vehicle
Coordinate the deliveries and integration tests (Coordinate with PVV Champion).
What Skills You Need
Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities and experience in a programming language such as C or Matlab
Demonstrated experience in Real-time operating system concepts, troubleshooting embedded software issues, CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783.
Experience with of SIL or MIL Or HIL environments.
Experience working with other cross functional teams on Agricultural/ construction products/subsystems like transmission, breaking, steering. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working in a team environment.
What Makes You Stand Out
Desire or experience to operate Agricultural/ construction equipment. Familiarity with entire Agricultural/ construction machine systems like interactions interfaces of tractor implements
Understanding of embedded controller peripherals, memory allocation process, compilers, linkers, programming standards, etc.
Modern C, C++ coding and design, GIT workflow.
Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
