Your Responsibilities

As a Control System Engineer for John Deere Power Systems located in Waterloo, IA, you will gather requests for new and updated control functions from various partners and stakeholders. In addition...

  • Develop detailed requirements for control functions and design implementations to meet those requirements.

  • Implement, review and test solutions for updated control requirements.

  • Provide technical leadership for the development of control strategies

  • Complete Software releases, write release notes, and support test cell and vehicle testing.

What Skills You Need

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 1 or more years of experience working with electronic sensors and controls.

  • 1 or more years of experience developing or working with embedded software in ā€œCā€ or other common embedded development environments.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Rally, Jenkins, ā€œCā€ programming language, Matlab/Simulink models and code generation libraries, enterprise model test strategies, unit test framework, and hardware in the loop systems

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience designing, calibrating, or testing internal combustion engines.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems

  • Education or experience in control theory.

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering Science and/or Technology

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control theory, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical/scientific field.
