Title: Design Engineer, Lube and Cooling - 96926
Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position
This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer for the Lube and Cooling Module located in Waterloo, IA you will….
Execute lube and cooling design activities by coordinating with internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
Own design, development, and production release of specific lube and cooling subsystems and components.
Support PV&V to create a robust verification plan to address component and emergent system requirements.
Take responsibility to identify, monitor, and correct issues discovered during a development project.

What Skills You Need
One or more years of experience with design, development, and qualification that demonstrates a technical proficiency in engines and/or engine components
Demonstrated effective technical communication (verbal and written) and documentation/knowledge management skills
Basic technical knowledge of modern engine systems
Demonstrated background in relevant engineering specialties (thermodynamics, fluids, metallurgy, heat transfer, etc.) necessary to develop lube and cooling system components
Foundational design experience using a modern CAD package (PTC Creo preferred)
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

Demonstrated ability to independently solve problems, think critically, and generate conclusions/solutions from technical data
Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute action plans in situations of ambiguity
Demonstrated experience independently developing lube and cooling components for diesel engines
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
