Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 43742
As an Embedded Software Engineer, for the Product Engineering Center, located in Waterloo, IA, you will you will be part of a team that develops high quality software for Drive Train systems using Model Based Systems Design principles. You will be responsible for model development, unit testing, and on-time delivery of subsystem artifacts. In addition, you will:
Develop software per supplied requirements and managing software interfaces between applications
Collaborate with peers on other teams to resolve system level issues
Reviews system-level interaction designs which impact responsible subsystem
Takes the lead on investigations of complex defects and reassigns with necessary documentation

What Skills You Need
2 or more years of experience in AUTOSAR operating system
Experience using model based software development tools (i.e. Simulink or Stateflow)
Experience designing and implementing embedded software control systems for drivetrain/powertrain applications
Strong knowledge of physics with ability to understand free body diagrams, dynamics, and mechanical systems
Experience in the field of Mechatronics and have a solid understanding of electrical/electronics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
2 or more years of experience designing and developing embedded control systems for a production style environment
Experience using Vector tools such as PREEvision, CANape, Davinci Configurator or similar software tools
Experience in C Programming Language and software development tools for embedded micro-controllers in mobile applications

Experience working on an Agile development team as a software developer
Knowledge of Enterprise Product Development Process
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Software engineering, Electrical engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent/related degree
