Your Responsibilities
As an Environmental Engineer for John Deere Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA , you will implement environmental processes & programs to meet the ISO 14001 Management System requirements and comply with applicable laws and regulations at Waterloo Works Operations. In addition, you will:
Compile necessary data, documentation, and correspondence to comply with Environmental regulations and Management System requirements
Coordinate and conduct Environmental audits to identify noncompliance with JD Management Systems and applicable laws and regulations
Oversee the implementation of assigned programs and work direction to factory employees
Develop and deliver relevant and effective environmental training for employees

What Skills You Need
1 or more years of experience with major environmental regulatory programs (air, water, waste, spill response), with skills to independently use the knowledge
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with environmental management systems and standards
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and interest in working in a factory setting
Ability to work semi-independently, assess priorities and deliver accurate and timely work product
What Makes You Stand Out
Understanding of AutoCAD, data analytics tools, and O365 suite
Experience working with Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001 or equivalent)
Ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with key stakeholders
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
