Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Module Manager, Controls Product Verification & Validation (PV&V), Sensors & Engine Control Unit (ECU) Interface for John Deere Power Systems & John Deere Engine Works located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will...

  • Manage and develop a growing engine controls PV&V team

  • Manage the ongoing engine sensor suite development and its team

  • Manage the interface (primarily through functional requirements) to our ECU platform development at ISG-Fargo

  • Be responsible for department budgeting, strategic plan development, and performance management of the team

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of experience managing and developing engineering teams

  • 3 or more years of experience managing to budgets and project timelines

  • 3 or more years of embedded software and hardware PV&V experience

  • 3 or more years of experience developing and applying embedded hardware systems, including controllers, sensors, and actuators

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Significant engine controls experience

  • Familiarity with and experience developing both embedded hardware and software

  • Significant embedded control systems PV&V experience


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related work experience. Advanced degree is a plus
