Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Off-Shift Manufacturing Engineer - Foundry - 50487
As a Manufacturing Engineer at the John Deere Foundry, you will provide daily tactical support for the Foundry operations and basic trouble-shooting for processes. You will provide daily support making process improvements for Foundry operations to reduce process variation. Additionally, you will:
Participate in scrap reduction teams
Analyze delay data and lead team TPM to develop and implement projects
Complete C projects task, new part data sheet with routings, cost and labor standards
Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts/programs
Define a safe, quality & efficient methods and document through OMS' or JDS'. - Analyze data, investigate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas
Support existing CIPP plans, gather data for modifications and help gather baseline data for new CIPP plans
Communicate, investigate and execute CI tags with operator / team involvement
Determine if project is capitol or expense, consulting accounting. If capital, write AFE and business case to justify spend. If expense, place order through SRM, SAP, write requisition and/or purchase order
Participates in Foundry PDP meetings, identifying potential issues in DFM and APQP using EPDP principles
Shop floor advocate during testing of PDP parts, identifying issues and solving problems before the part goes into full production

What Skills You Need
1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
1 or more years of work experience in a team environment
1 or more years of experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
1 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
Ability and willingess to work off-shift hours (this is an off-shift position)
