Function: Data Science & Analytics

Title: Part-Time Student-Energy Management-Waterloo IA - 70353

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering technical data and create visualizations to support business needs of factory quality engineering, vehicle engineering, and tractor Energy Management.

  • Maintain and evolve existing Energy Management information systems built in Excel, VBA programming, and SQL database.

    What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent; others may apply

  • Must be a full-time student at a university or college local to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc)

  • If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

  • Proficient using Microsoft 365 Business Apps

  • Proficient in VBA, SQL or equivalent programming languages

  • Ability to learn data visualization tools (examples: Power BI, Tableau)

  • Ability to learn complex information systems

  • Ability to work in a team environment

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in data analytics, data visualization, and information systems

  • Interest in vehicle energy systems and energy conversion (mechanical, hydraulic, electric)
