The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .

Your Responsibilities

As a Part Time Student-Logistics for JD Waterloo Works (TCAO) located in Waterloo, IA, you will...

  • Coordinate with Supply Management and Parts Order Fulfilment teams to minimize inventory dollars and space requirements for non-current production parts; disposition obsolete part-specific racks and dunnage.

  • Support inbound logistics processes by entering data into the appropriate spreadsheets, file freight claims, and completing check requests for premium freight chargebacks.

  • Support container management processes and projects surrounding current production and new product programs.

  • Submit security requests for new 3PL warehouse employees using ServiceNow (SAP, Outlook inbox, mailing lists, fileserver), JDSN SAM (GRC), and maintain SAP RF profiles; submit badge requests for intracity drivers; process monthly gate ESO’s.

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or Manufacturing Technology; others may apply.

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university.

  • Graduation date of May 2025 or later.

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.

  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.

  • Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.

  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round.
