Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa (US-IA) - Waterloo

Function: Manufacturing Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student - Manufacturing Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 61439

Your Responsibilities

  • This position will assist in the New Product Manufacturing Engineering Test Group with the following responsibilities.

  • Responsibilities include but not limited to support the development of electrical test connections for new & current test equipment.

  • Interface with suppliers of electrical test connections.

  • Assist department engineers on miscellaneous projects as they come about.

  • Work with and support maintenance personnel servicing electrical test connections.

What it Takes

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Microsoft office software.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Understanding of basic electrical design Capability of reading and understand blueprints Manufacturing or machining shop floor understanding or awareness.

  • Must be a full-time student at a local university or college (Hawkeye, UNI, Wartburg, etc.)

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering discipline - Electrical, Agricultural, Manufacturing Technology or Mechanical.

  • If currently attending a community college, must be planning to pursue a 4-year degree

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months.

A Strong Candidate Will Also Have

  • AutoCAD or ProE/Creo skills

  • Hydraulics experience

  • Programming skills
