Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Manufacturing Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 52441
Implement Continuous Improvement projects to support business goals for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Manage material purchase requisitions for the Business Unit.
Complete process audits to ensure operations are being done correctly and materials are assigned accurately.
Manage torque tool database to ensure audits are completed and corrective actions are put in to place.
Support the maintenance of process planning systems to ensure data accuracy.
Support department project work by completing tasks and assignments at the direction of more senior project engineers.
What It Takes
Excellent computer skills including, Microsoft Office, Visio, CAD
Ability to prioritize, time management
Self-motivator with a bias toward action, once trained, requires minimal direction and instruction to get the job done
Pursuing a four-year degree
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of May 2020 or later (preferred)
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Line design and development skills
