Function: Product Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Product Engineering-Waterloo IA - 74662
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Applies existing applications to routine problems.
Learns and applies company engineering policies and practices; learns company products.
Assist engineers with data management for field test data collection.
Update Python scripts and/or Excel VBA macros to process vehicle test data.
Assist engineers in retrieving, processing, and reporting of test data.
Collaborate with engineers to develop and report metrics for department and data collection activities
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or Physics; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Graduation date of December 2022 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year generally 16-20 hours per week with flexibility in agreement with manager
Available to work during the summer semester or when school is not in session up to 40 hours per week
Must be able to commute to the work location on scheduled workdays
What Makes You Stand Out .
Demonstrated experience with Python and IDLE scripting environment or similar programming language skill
Experience with databases, Microsoft SharePoint, and/or HTML script
