Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa (US-IA) - Waterloo

Function: Quality Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student - Quality Engineering - Waterloo, IA - 55073

Your Responsibilities

  • The part-time student in this position will work closely with Quality Engineers in the Tractor Manufacturing and Assembly operations.

  • The position will include data gathering and tracking assignments using basic office software, and Deere specific software.

What It Takes

  • We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as working independently

  • Pursuing a degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Graduation date of December 2020 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment

  • Manufacturing/mechanical aptitude with electronic and mechanical assemblies and systems

  • Experience with Ag Tractors or Heavy Duty Off-Highway products and customer applications

  • Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques
