Function: Quality Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student Supplier Quality - Waterloo, IA - 52232

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactively review open NCCA's(Non-Conformance/Corrective Action) that need attention and follow up with engineers as needed

  • Generate and distribute supplier quality metrics on a scheduled frequency

  • Review reports for accuracy and debug the system if there are errors

  • Follow up with quality engineers on any discrepancies in the data

  • Send the reviewed data to the team for action

  • Manage supplier quality SharePoint site and data sources

  • Maintain and improve the supplier quality SharePoint site

  • Create macros and programs to automate data generation

  • Create and update Tableau dashboards to increase monthly reporting efficiency

  • Facilitate daily all-hands meeting to review and record updates on supplier quality containment activities

What It Takes

  • Ability to learn quickly and work with little or no direction

  • Experience with Excel formulas and macros

  • Strong communication skills

  • Pursuing a four-year degree in Engineering/Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management or equivalent

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • Graduation date of May 2020

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills using data management tools

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint

  • Working knowledge of Tableau software
