Function: Supply Management / Logistics

Title: Part-Time Student - Supply Management - Waterloo, IA - 52281

Your Responsibilities

  • This position will assist the Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Strategic Planning groups for JDPS Supply Management.

  • Activities include project support for the JDPS strategic sourcing team, administration of materials compliance programs, development and administration of the JDPS Supply Management SharePoint web page, and development and maintenance of Supplier Quality reports.

  • For the materials compliance programs, this position will work across supply management and engineering functions to ensure supplier compliance on material restrictions. This position will track compliance requests and supplier responses, take action to resolve response issues, and communicate status to leadership and the strategic sourcing team.

What It Takes

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstration of excellent teamwork/people skills.

  • MS Office experience to include Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to quickly learn various computer applications

  • Pursuing a four-year degree in Supply Management or MIS. Will also consider related disciplines

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • Graduation date of May 2021 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Experience with SharePoint and Outlook; and expertise with Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in a team working environment.

  • Experience with Supply Management.
