Title: Performance Engineer - 81274

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Performance Engineer for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, IA, you will ensure the quality of the agriculture products, solutions, and production systems. You will utilize analytical, reactive, and regression averse test strategies to verify and quantify the performance of intelligent, connected machines.

  • Own engineering verification procedures that define how to verify and quantify the performance of Precision Ag capabilities on various agriculture products.

  • Partner with product managers, software developers, validation engineers, system engineers, performance engineers, and verification champions to deliver aligned holistic verification plans.

  • Execute tests to verify the Tech Stack‚Äôs performance and functionality.

  • Collect engineering data necessary for conducting root cause analysis.

  • Automate tests using state-of-the-art simulation frameworks and tools.

What Skills You Need

  • Demonstrated experience working in mechatronics, including a solid understanding of electronics.

  • Demonstrated experience with embedded electronics verification/development techniques and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience with design or testing of control systems.

  • Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • In-depth knowledge of Deere Precision Ag products and machine operation.

  • Experience using CAN communication analysis tools.

  • Expertise in Python.

  • Experience working in an Agile development process.


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science, or Technology related discipline
