Deere & Company is seeking a Product Engineer, Development in Waterloo, IA with the following requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering plus 2 years related experience. Prior experience must include: lead development processes to optimize diesel engine calibrations in applications including tailpipe out emission, diesel engine performance, and fuel economy (2 yrs); evaluate, develop, and propose diesel engine hardware specifications for turbocharger performance match, fuel system, and aftertreatment in connection with performance calibration development (2 yrs); prepare diesel engine test plans and plan test matrices (2 yrs); utilize diesel engine simulation techniques to optimize fuel system, air system, and other performance or combustion related systems in connection with hardware testing (1 yr). Travel required 22% of time.
