Function: Product Engineering

Title: PV&V Test Engineer - 53540

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Verification and Validation (PV&V) Test Engineer for the Product Engineering Center, located in Waterloo, IA, you will execute a test activity to accomplish Development or Durability Testing. This includes shakedown and troubleshoot UUT's (Units Under Test) and test sequences. In addition, you will:

  • Verify test limits /shutdowns

  • Run tests and create test run work orders

  • Process data; verify quality and accuracy of data; analyze test data

  • Determine conclusions from testing - pass or fail

  • Perform root cause analysis for problem solving and failure resolution with Drivetrain Design and/or Controls Engineer

  • Generate test reports including Conclusions and Results

What Skills You Need

  • Experience in a role that required the use of negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Experience applying engineering principles, theory and practice

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work off-shift and/or weekends to support business needs

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience with root cause analysis

  • Test and / or data acquisition experience

  • Technical experience that required an understanding of drivetrains

  • Farming experience and /or technical experience related to the mechanics of Ag machinery

  • Transmission or Axle experience and /or technical knowledge

  • Experience using Matlab or other computer programming tools

  • Project Management experience

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent
