Function: Product Engineering

Title: Senior Engineer - 55293

Your Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer Requirements Lead for the Product Engineering Center in Waterloo, IA, you will manage the requirement documentation process for Large Tractors in Waterloo. In addition, you will:

  • Drive for timely documentation of requirements, consistency and sharing of requirements across tractor families and ensure good spec writing practices

  • Support Engineering Program Managers on fulfilling EPDP Phase requirements for Requirements documentation and approvals

  • Will assist with data entry and retrieval from PTC Integrity

  • Ensure that product engineering has appropriate access to relevant information

  • Coordinate change control within Large Tractor and other stakeholders (i.e. Mid and Small Tractor engineering)

  • Process owner for requirements management for Large Tractors

  • Ensure requirements remain updated after PDP to CI transition

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of relevant product development experience

  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and tasks

  • Effective communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Ability to work in self-directed manner

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience working with mid to large tractor product families

  • Experience with writing system engineering requirements

  • Experience using PTC Integrity

  • Systems Engineering Training

  • Experience working with database management

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural or Electrical Engineering
