Title: Virtual Design & Verification Engineer - Dynamic System Modeling - 75286

Your Responsibilities

As the Virtual Design & Verification Engineer – Dynamic System Modeling, you will develop dynamic systems models (DSM) of tractor subsystems (power unit, drivetrain, hydraulics, traction) and integrate these with control and software models to create whole tractor/implement systems. You will exercise these models to select designs that deliver optimal system level performance such as fluid economy and productivity.

What Skills You Need

  • 4+ years developing and exercising dynamic systems models to guide design of one or more of the following vehicle systems: power unit, drivetrain, hydraulics, suspension, traction, controls, or related.

  • 2+ years integrating DSM models with control and software models into system simulations; these will be used for model-based software development.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Expertise building DSM models using Mathworks Simscape, and integrating them in Simulink

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change in methods and processes

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Thrives in cross-functional team of design, testing and analysis

  • Comfortable using PTC Creo or other CAD tools

  • Strong technical background in:

  • Control theory, design and analysis (frequency and time domain)

  • Numerical analysis and methods

  • Digital signal processing

  • Programming languages – Matlab, Python, C++, etc.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
