Function: Product Engineering
Title: Worksite Architect, Embedded Technology - 50770
As a Worksite Architect, for the John Deere Enterprise, you will lead and collaborate on enterprise wide projects to define the next generation of Deere embedded technology architecture, focusing on the architecture and infrastructure associated with the MECA2 development ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for making sure that these projects and collaborations come together to form a coherent technology ecosystem for developing embedded systems for the next generation of products. You will be viewed as an enterprise expert in embedded technologies within Deere and you may also serve as a technical consultant for enterprise electronics management and staff or existing and future technology/architectures. In addition, you will:
Develop and drive the architecture of the embedded system development ecosystem for the Deere enterprise. Align product platforms and infrastructure teams to the defined architecture. Recognize gaps and misalignments and propose solutions.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architectural requirements with the infrastructure development leads. Identify emerging technology trends that have potential major business impact. Determine how these technologies impact the development ecosystem.
Research the industry and experts for innovations and trends related to embedded technologies and architectures.

What Skills You Need
Expert technical skill and knowledge in electronic systems engineering and electronic/technology/software architecture
Technical skill in knowledge of AUTOSAR development systems
Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice, as well as product knowledge
Understanding of engineering principles as they relate to the company product
What Makes You Stand Out
7 or more years of Product engineering experience
7 or more years of technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of electrical/electronic/software systems
7 or more years of technical experience relating to design and implementation of embedded software operating systems
4 or more years of technical experience relating to design and implementation of embedded systems using model based tools
4 or more years of Product design experience
4 or more years of experience in performing complex engineering assignments
4 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
Product test and analysis experience
Advanced degree and/or Systems Design and Management Certificate from MIT or equivalent
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
